LAS VEGAS — Standout offensive performances from Rob Dillingham and Leonard Miller keyed the Minnesota Timberwolves to a comeback 89-85 win over the Phoenix Suns in an NBA2K26 Summer League battle at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas on Wednesday afternoon.
The final score would have been very difficult to envision after the opening quarter, as the Suns jumped out to a dominant 32-16 lead through the first 10 minutes. However, the Timberwolves’ defense then did a complete about-face in the second quarter, limiting Phoenix to only 10 points. They kept up the momentum after intermission by forging a 25-17 advantage in the third, and despite seeing their deficit bump back up to seven 90 seconds into the final period, Minnesota outscored the Suns 28-17 the rest of the way to break through multiple ties and achieve the comeback victory.
Boogie Ellis led the Suns with 23 points, adding four rebounds, one assist and one steal. Oso Ighodaro furnished 17 points, six boards and four assists. Ryan Dunn and Moses Wood posted matching nine-point tallies while pulling down five and four rebounds, respectively. Dunn added three steals among his other contributions.
Dillingham’s 23 points, which he complemented with seven rebounds and seven assists, led the Timberwolves. Miller generated a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Jaylen Clark delivered 13 points, three assists and five steals. Amari Bailey supplied nine points, five assists and four rebounds.
