Princess Anne, the daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, looked candid and elegant in a blue dress on her big day, with one admirer affectionately referring to her as “The Queen” in the comments.
The Princess Royal, 74, left fans in awe as she put on a stylish display in a cobalt blue wrap dress on Wednesday, July 16, celebrating the incredible musical talent of British Army.
The Royal family shared stunning photos of Princess Anne with the latest update on her royal duty hours after she received an Honorary Doctorate from the West Yorkshire university.
The Palace wrote along with Anne’s photos: “Last night on Horse Guards Parade, The Princess Royal attended the Military Musical Spectacular, ‘Heroes’!”
The statement continued: “With over 250 people involved, the Massed Bands of the Guards Division joined forces with The Duchess of Edinburgh’s String Orchestra, the Household Division Contemporary Band, the Massed Pipes and Drums and Army Cadet Force and The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery to perform in their annual display.
“In their 200th anniversary year, the Royal Mews were also in attendance for a display of horse drawn state coaches and cars.”
The post attracted massive praise from fans, who fondly associated Anne with her late mother, with one bestowing the title “The Queen” in the comments.
Another admired her fashionable look, writing: “She is similar to her Mother! Very dedicated to the Crown and its principles in a great way!”
The royal paired the look with a layered pearl necklace, blue clutch purse and matching gloves as she took part part in the Household Division Musical Spectacular with Major General James Maurice Hannan Bowder.
Anne’s appearance comes after she stunned in a new look earlier this month while attending a State Banquet at Windsor Castle in London. After 50 years of wearing a voluminous updo, Anne sported a twisted bun for the outing. She complemented the look with her diamond Festoon Tiara, a piece of jewelry that has been in her collection since 1973.
While at the event, Anne was styled in an ivory dress adorned with lace embellishments on her bodice and featuring a pleated, flowy skirt.
