Redmi 15C leaks as stylish smartphone with huge screen, big battery and tiny price

The Redmi 15C is hailed as a smartphone that will launch looking better than some flagships in its latest leak – although it is also projected to debut at a fraction of a flagship price in the same post. It might also have a bigger battery (and screen) than some of its top-end contemporaries, albeit with some drawbacks…such as the lack of 5G.

The prodigious leaker Digital Chat Station opines that the Redmi 15C “looks even better than a flagship” in its latest leaked renders.

One of the images show the supposedly upcoming, Oppo Reno14-esque handset in 4 unique colorways, supposedly dubbed Moonlight Blue, Midnight Black, Green and Twilight Orange in a NieuweMobiel blog post.

The 15C’s price also looks far better than that of other smartphones, as it is predicted to go on sale for as little as ~99 yuan (~$14) in Digital Chat Station’s post.

Then again, it is also said to start at €129 (~$149) with 4GB of RAM in Europe. The 15C is also thought to have a premium 120Hz refresh rate – albeit for a display made of LCD rather than OLED.

The same screen is thought to be slightly larger than most top-tier handsets at ~6.9 inches in diagonal length (although that might become a new norm in the next generation of smartphones in any case).

Nevertheless, the allegedly 6,000mAh Redmi 15C is also predicted to be hamstrung by its entry-level, 4G/LTE-only MediaTek Helio G81 SoC on its launch.
