The Denver Nuggets defeated the Los Angeles Clippers, 81-76, at the NBA 2K26 Summer League at Thomas & Mack Center on Thursday.

While Denver won this game in wire-to-wire fashion, things weren’t decided until the final moments. The Nuggets led 46-37 at the half and expanded their lead up to 25 points at times in the third quarter. With that said, the Clippers ripped off a 13-0 run in the final four minutes to get the game to a three-point margin, but missed a game-tying attempt in the closing seconds. The Nuggets recorded 13 steals to the Clippers’ seven steals while outscoring them in fastbreak points, 16-4. Denver shot 88 percent from the free-throw line (13-of-15) while LA shot 72 percent (13-of-18). They also out-rebounded the Clippers, 47-36.

The Nuggets (1-3) were led by DaRon Holmes II, who finished with 19 points, 17 rebounds, five assists and two steals. Spencer Jones had 17 points, six rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Curtis Jones led the bench with 13 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals. Tamar Bates tallied 11 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The Clippers (3-1) were led by Jordan Miller, who collected 23 points, 14 rebounds and four assists. Patrick Baldwin Jr. provided 16 points, six rebounds, three steals and three blocks. Cam Christie compiled 16 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals, while Trentyn Flowers totaled 12 points, three rebounds and five assists.

Both teams will be playing consolation games on Saturday against unknown opponents to close out their Summer League trip.
