Tech company CEO Andy Byron deletes social media account amid affair allegations after Coldplay concert

A married tech executive has deleted his LinkedIn page after he was spotted getting cosy with a woman who is not his wife at a Coldplay concert in Boston in the United States.

Media reports and netizens have identified them as US software firm Astronomer’s chief executive, Mr Andy Byron, and Ms Kristin Cabot, its human resources head.

The company and the duo have yet to issue a statement on the incident.

A video circulating widely online shows a couple highlighted on a big screen during the British rock band’s concert at Foxborough’s Gillette Stadium on July 16, as part of the US leg of the group’s Music Of The Spheres world tour.

When they realise they are on the screen, the man immediately ducks out of view, while the woman covers her face with her hands and turns her back to the camera.

“Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy,” Coldplay frontman Chris Martin commented on stage.

The incident soon went viral on social media, with many concertgoers uploading the interaction on TikTok and Instagram.

One such video on TikTok garnered over 40 million views and more than 30,000 comments in less than 24 hours.

US media reports said Mr Byron has two sons with wife Megan Kerrigan Byron. She reportedly removed his surname from her Facebook account before deleting it.

One netizen said: “If I were his wife, I think my heart would explode immediately… I feel so sorry for his wife and his kids.”

Another user added: “I wish all affairs could be exposed this quickly, maybe not this publicly, but their families deserve the truth.”

A user said on X: “Wish me luck at the Coldplay concert on Saturday, should be a MASSIVE affair!”

Many remarked that if the couple had played it cool, the incident would not have gone viral.

A TikTok user said: “This is the most iconic video of this year, I love when cheaters get exposed.”
