Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 has confirmed the 2026 Paralympic Winter Games will be shown exclusively in Canada by CBC/Radio-Canada, Canada’s national public broadcaster and Globo, the largest media company in Latin America, in Brazil.
CBC/Radio-Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Paralympic Committee, will provide extensive broadcast coverage across television, digital, audio and social platforms. Globo will bring the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games to audiences across Brazil through linear free television, pay TV, digital platforms and audio.

More than 11 million Canadians tuned in to CBC/Radio-Canada’s extensive broadcast coverage of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games over 12 days, with record increases noted across broadcast, digital and streaming platforms, illustrating increased interest in Paralympic competition in Canada. For Paris 2024, the national public broadcaster offered the most coverage in Canada of a Paralympic Games to date, inviting audiences across the country to cheer on Team Canada’s 126 athletes in 18 sports and celebrate a total of 29 podium finishes.

CBC/Radio-Canada has been broadcasting the Paralympic Games in partnership with the Canadian Paralympic Committee since 2014.
Globo, the largest media company in Latin America, has a long-standing history and partnership with Paralympic sports. sportv, Globo’s pay TV sports channel, first broadcast the Winter Paralympic Games at Sochi 2014 and has since aired every Paralympic Games, consistently leading viewership among all Brazilian pay TV channels during the Paralympic period. In the most recent edition, held in Paris in 2024, Globo (TV Globo + sportv) reached 68 million people with its broadcasts. On Globoplay, Globo’s streaming platform, there was a 183 per cent increase in hours watched compared to the Tokyo Paralympics.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games will take place from 6-15 March 2026 and will mark the 50th anniversary of the event. The Games will feature up to 655 Para athletes competing in 79 medal events across six sports: Para alpine skiing, Para biathlon, Para cross-country skiing, Para ice hockey, Para snowboard, and wheelchair curling.
For the first time since its Paralympic debut 20 years ago, wheelchair curling will feature a second medal event in Milano Cortina 2026 with the inclusion of mixed pairs.
According to Nielsen Sports research conducted on behalf of the International Paralympic Committee, more than 1,900 hours of coverage was broadcast from the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games.
