Coldplay fan Grace Springer revealed she didn’t make money from the viral video she posted of married former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his alleged mistress, human respurces executive Kristin Cabot. The former co-workers made headlines in July 2025 after they were caught on a “kiss cam” at a Coldplay concert in Foxborough, MA, on July 16.
After the concert, Springer posted a video of the moment, which has already received more than 122 million views online.
“I’ve actually made no money from the video itself or the views,” Springer revealed on the UK’s This Morning on July 21. “It’s not monetized.”
Springer had hoped to see herself on the camera when Coldplay frontman Chris Martin announced a Jumbotron was panning the audience. Instead, the camera stopped upon Byron and Cabot, who appeared mortified to be caught cuddling and awkwardly ducked away. From the stage, Martin joked that the two were either “having an affair“ or were just “really shy.”
“In the moment when I filmed it, I didn’t think much of it, but of course, everyone was kind of chattering,” Springer said of the incident. “There was over 50,000 people at the concert, so it was a hot topic. But it wasn’t until after the concert, where I was debriefing with my friends and I said, ‘Let’s review the footage, let’s see if it really looks that bad.’ And I think it does.”
Springer added that she felt bad for Byron’s wife and “everyone else who has been hurt“ by the video, but she added, “There was over 50,000 people and I’m not the only one that caught it on camera, so if it wasn’t me who uploaded it, I’m sure someone else would have.”
Amid the fiasco at the Foxborough concert, Coldplay gave fans a warning ahead of the “Jumbotron Song” at their show at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, WI, on July 19. “We’d like to say hello to some of you in the crowd,” Martin said while on stage at the follow-up show, per video footage posted on X. “How we’re going to do that is we’re going to use our cameras and put some of you on the big screen. So, please, if you haven’t done your makeup, do your makeup now.”
Byron has resigned from his position at Astronomer. There is no word on Cabot’s status with the tech company. Her bio remains on the Astronomer website.
