Pakistan, Iran interior ministers take up President Pezeshkian’s visit to Islamabad

ISLAMABAD  –  Iran’s Interior Minister Seyyed Eskandar Momeni on Monday held a telephonic conversation with Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, during which they discussed the upcoming visit of Iranian President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian to Pakistan on July 26. During the telephonic conversation, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi expressed that Pakistan is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Islamabad. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also underscored the importance of high-level engagement between the two neighbouring Muslim countries—Pakistan and Iran. During the talks, Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni thanked Mohsin Naqvi for his recent visit to Iran, acknowledging its significance in strengthening bilateral cooperation. Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni also extended heartfelt condolences over the loss of lives and property caused by severe flooding in Pakistan. The Iranian interior minister expressed deep sympathy with the families of those who lost their lives in the disaster. He added that the Iranian government and people stand firmly with Pakistan during this difficult time and are ready to extend any form of assistance needed for flood victims.
