After the short break following Silverstone, FIA Formula 3’s intriguing 2025 campaign continues with a visit to Belgium and Spa-Francorchamps.
The season has taken several twists and turns already, and we’re looking set to have another weekend full of action with the title fight and the weather looking unpredictable.
Here’s a few items to keep close watch over this weekend at Spa.
TITLE FIGHTERS
While Rafael Câmara continues to lead the way on 120 points, he is on the defensive according to his rivals going into the final stages of this 2025 season.
The Brazilian started off white-hot with back-to-back Feature Race victories to open his account, but things haven’t gone exactly to plan since then.
A return to the top step in Barcelona was a welcome result, but along with a third-place finish in Imola, those are his only podium appearances.
Tim Tramnitz of MP Motorsport is his closest rival points-wise on 93 heading to Spa and has finished ahead of the Championship leader in three of the last four Feature Races.

Meanwhile, Nikola Tsolov follows in third place having broken the all-time win record in F3 this year. Campos Racing teammate Mari Boya has launched himself into title contention also with his Silverstone Feature Race victory capping off a run of three-consecutive visits to the podium in the last three races.
Each of his rivals are feeling confident, though he will be eager to put a stop to any momentum they might be building, with a victory at this point in the year leaving the chasing pack with quite the climb to catch him.
But as we have seen at Spa regularly in the past, anything can happen in a title fight around here.
MAN IN FORM
Of the top four in the title race, it’s the driver in fourth who is riding the highest wave currently based on recent results.
Boya’s Silverstone win in the wet was hugely impressive, but the Spaniard has flown under the radar this year, and perhaps his current vein of form is where he should have been earlier in the season.
The Aston Martin Development Driver has finished outside the top seven just once since the Imola Sprint Race, with four podiums and his win coming in that period.

He’ll be arriving this weekend on a wave of momentum that he hopes will take him directly into title contention.
Currently, the Spaniard is on 85 points, 35 adrift of leader Câmara but just eight behind second-placed Tramnitz.
If he can sustain this purple patch through to the end of the season, who knows where he’ll end up in the Drivers’ Championship battle.
WEATHER RADAR

It wouldn’t be a race weekend at Spa without the threat of rain hanging over everyone. The forecasts are looking mixed to say the least, but there is expected to be some rainfall at some point between Friday and Sunday.
Pushing to the limits around the famed circuit is already a stern test of a driver’s abilities, but added rain into the mix changes the complexion of a session in its entirety.
As we’ve seen in the past, rain can hit at any time, forcing drivers and teams to be on their toes and ready for any last-minute strategic pitstops.
It pays to be on the right tyre, especially around a track as long as Spa-Francorchamps. Get that decision wrong and find yourself on the wrong compound of tyre, it’s a long drive back to the pitlane, if you can keep it on the track.
