Clean sport education at Canoe Slalom Worlds in Foix

ITA Education Ambassador Thais Cevada delivered an interactive clean sport presentation for the ICF Development Camp athletes and support personnel, followed by two engaging days at the clean sport education booth filled with games, activities and information.

Athletes learned how to check their medications using Global DRO, better understand supplement risks and even simulate a doping control process. The Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs) game was especially popular among non-English-speaking participants, making complex topics more accessible and fun. Through scenario-based games, visitors also learnt how to report suspicious behaviours and got familiar with the REVEAL platform.

As one Italian coach said, “In-person education is so good for us – we refresh our knowledge and always understand something new about Clean Sport.” A Greek athlete added, “I wish every education were fun as this one. Is much better to learn how to keep safe in sport while having a good time.”
