LOS ANGELES – YouTuber and internet personality Trisha Paytas has officially named her newborn Aquaman Moses Paytas-Hacmon, continuing a now-signature naming tradition that blends pop culture, astrology, and bold cinematic flair.
Paytas, 37, shared the name during the July 22 episode of her podcast Just Trish and confirmed it shortly after in an Instagram post that featured superhero-themed visuals. The baby boy was born July 12 to Paytas and husband Moses Hacmon, and joins older siblings Malibu Barbie, 2, and Elvis, 13 months.
Why name a baby Aquaman?
The backstory:
Paytas said the name felt like a perfect fit—both for her lifelong love of the Aquaman franchise and her husband’s deep connection to water. The couple had been looking for a “water-themed movie” to align with their son’s zodiac sign, Cancer, which is a water sign.
“I’ve been wearing Aquaman t-shirts for years,” Paytas said on her podcast. “We watched all the Aquamans, I watched the cartoon, I was watching everything.”
The moment of clarity came during a follow-up doctor’s visit, where they spotted an Aquaman poster on the wall—another “sign” that confirmed it was meant to be.
What they’re saying:
“Not only is it so related to me, but it’s also so related to Moses,” Paytas said, explaining how the name touches on multiple aspects of their lives and personalities. “We definitely know, ’cause now we have a name that ties to like 5,000 things.”
What’s next:
The couple has leaned fully into their naming style, choosing monikers that reference larger-than-life icons and stories. Malibu Barbie, their first daughter, was named after the iconic doll, while Elvis, their second child, channels rock-and-roll royalty.
With Aquaman Moses, they’ve added a superhero twist to the family.
