Pakistan, Thailand strengthen bilateral cooperation

July 23, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and Thailand have agreed to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors including
food security, fisheries, defence, and regional connectivity.

The consensus was reached during a meeting
between Thai Foreign Minister Maris Sangiampongsa and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime
Minister Ishaq Dar in New York.

Thailand
appreciated the positive trajectory of bilateral relations, with both leaders
expressing satisfaction over increased engagement in cultural and parliamentary
exchanges, trade, tourism, and people-to-people connections.

They also
exchanged views on regional and global developments of mutual interest and
reaffirmed their commitment to working closely in multilateral forums,
especially at the United Nations, as per the press release issued.

Thailand’s Foreign Minister congratulated
Pakistan on assuming the presidency of the UN Security Council and acknowledged
its valuable contributions to the Council’s work.
