Buy the Motorola Razr Ultra at $200 off and get a free smartwatch too

Kerry Wan/ZDNET

Motorola has a killer new deal for the 2025 Razr Ultra on its website. Not only has the smartphone dropped from $1,500 to $1,300, but you’ll also receive a free Moto Watch Fit with your purchase. The smartwatch alone costs $200. Combined with the discount, you’ll be saving $400 in total. The deal applies to all four colors: Scarab (green), Cabaret (pink), Mountain Trail (brown), and Rio Red.

You can save even more money through Motorola’s trade-in program. As part of the promotion, the company will shave off an extra $200 from the Razr Ultra if you trade in certain phones. For example, trading in a 256GB iPhone 15 will discount your order by $350 (assuming it’s in good condition). But thanks to the other $200, that price cut jumps up to $550.

And the discounts stack. So, at the end of it all, the $1,500 Razr Ultra plummets to $850. That is a nearly 43% discount. There is a small catch, however. This promotion is only applicable to the 1TB Razr Ultra. You’ll have to pay the full $1,300 price tag for the 512GB model.

Motorola’s 2025 Razr Ultra is a fantastic foldable. It’s so good that it is currently ZDNET’s pick for the best Motorola phone overall. There’s a lot to like here. For starters, it runs on 12GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 8 Elite, a chipset that is often seen in flagship smartphones. Performance is rock solid.

It has the same compact design as the previous model, but now includes “Alacantra and Wood finishes”. ZDNET’s Prakhar Khanna enjoyed these finishes because they made the Razr Ultra “easier to hold and grip than competing flip phones.” Kerry Wan, ZDNET’s managing editor, reviews, was less enthusiastic in his coverage. He liked the new finishes, too, but found that the softer material attracted “dust particles and finger grease.”

Also: Yes, Motorola’s $1,300 Razr Ultra competes with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 (and not just in price)

Other notable features include a 7-inch Super HD pOLED inner display, a 4,700mAh battery, and a 50MP main camera for capturing “subjects in great detail.”

How I rated this deal

The rating of this Motorola Razr Ultra depends on whether or not you take full advantage of the promotion. If you just go for the discount and the Moto Watch Fit, I give the deal a 3/5. That’s not too shabby, but if you go through the trade-in program, the deal becomes a perfect 5/5.

I don’t think it can get better than this, so take advantage of this deal while it lasts.
