Phantom Blade Zero, the highly anticipated Chinese dark wuxia action game, kicked off its first large-scale offline demo event in Beijing today. The venue was styled in a distinctive wuxia-punk aesthetic, bringing to life the game’s steampunk-meets-martial-arts world known as the Shadow Realm. Players got hands-on with the “Seven-Star Sword Array” demo, featuring map exploration, story cutscenes, and a dual boss battle against a Defier and a hidden foe. Sponsored by PlayStation and NVIDIA, the PS5 version delivered stable 2K resolution at 60 FPS. The event attracted over 1,000 attendees and 200 influencers from China and overseas. Meanwhile, IGN released an exclusive 22-minute gameplay video. The game’s release is expected to be announced later this year, according to the developer S-GAME. [IGN]
