Elden Ring Nightreign has been off to a good start sales wise, despite being the lowest rated From Software game in years. Currently, the game only supports parties of three players, or solo players, with no option for a Duos mode. That will finally change next week.
From Software confirmed just before launch that Elden Ring Nightreign would not have a Duos mode because, well, the dev team just didn’t think to add one in, as confirmed by the game’s director. They realised that they should make one shortly before the game’s release and got to work on the update, which is now ready to roll out.
In Patch 1.02, Elden Ring Nightreign will get a Duos option, as well as other Quality-of-Life and UI improvements. The new mode will allow groups of two players to take on the horrors of Limveld.
So far, Elden Ring Nightreign has sold over two million copies. The Elden Ring franchise as a whole has almost outsold Dark Souls, with 30M sales for the main game, 10M sales for the expansion ‘Shadow of the Erdtree, and an extra 2M sales from Nightreign.
