The Strad News – New concertmaster for Hamburg’s NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra

US violinist David Radzynski has been announced as the new concertmaster of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra in Hamburg, Germany.

Radzynski is a graduate of Indiana University, Park University, and Yale. His teachers include Syoko Aki, Ben Sayevich, Kevork Mardirossian, Mauricio Fuks, Paul Kantor, and Roland and Almita Vamos. He has previously performed as concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and as guest concertmaster of the Boston, Houston, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati symphony orchestras.

As a chamber musician, Radzynski has collaborated with artists including Pinchas Zukerman, Emanuel Ax, and Martha Argerich; as a soloist, he has performed with the Israel, Łódź, and Polish National philharmonic orchestras, as well as the Columbus Symphony and the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra of Poznań.

I look forward to many years of productive collaboration, working on exciting projects and making music at the highest level.’
