KARACHI (Dunya News) – Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Junior, grandson of former prime minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, hinted at launching a new political party with Fatima Bhutto and contesting elections from Larkana – and possibly Lyari.
Speaking to the media at 70 Clifton, he expressed solidarity with residents affected by the recent building closures in Lyari’s Baghdadi area, criticizing the Sindh government for failing to provide alternative housing.

Bhutto Jr said Lyari, once a stronghold of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has been left neglected despite loyal support. “If you can build a Bhutto Expressway, you can also build homes for Lyari’s people,” he said. He emphasised that he is not backed by the establishment and is building his political path independently.
A youth wing will be part of the new movement, which he says is rooted in the vision of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Mir Murtaza Bhutto.
Promising a people-centered agenda, Bhutto Jr criticised PPP and PTI leaders for corruption, pledging to tour all provinces and bring genuine development — not cosmetic projects — to neglected communities.
