Prince William calls meeting with King Charles after Princess Anne criticism

Prince William appears to be stepping in after Princess Anne raised her concerns about the ‘slimmed’ down working members of the family being overwhelmed with duties.

The Prince of Wales, who is currently on his summer break with his family, called for a meeting with the King Charles to discuss the next set of steps for the reign.

Even though the monarch has been fulfilling his role, he is also getting “exhausted” from the weekly cancer treatment, which is reportedly incurable. Sources have revealed that William is “more than ready to take command” especially now that his eldest son, Prince George, turned 12 this month.

The royal household is overworked and Princess Anne, despite being a workaholic, also expressed her annoyance with William as she’s the one “still doing most of the investitures [at Windsor] even though William lives there”.

Now, William is considering to step up as it is the need to the hour and he is “totally capable” for the job. And as the official royal training of George commences, he is in a better position to take the role.

“William knows he’s been distracted with Kate’s health problems but it’s clear the senior royals aren’t coping with the workload and it’s time to bring new blood to the monarchy,” the insider told Woman’s Day magazine.

“He’s told Charles he’s been spreading himself too thin and needs to hand over some responsibility to him while he takes some time out.”

Meanwhile, Kate has also been feeling well after her nine-month long cancer battle last year. She has been easing back into royal duties despite having bad days, but Kat has also stepped up to support the monarchy as Palace undergoes major transition for new rule.
