Capcom reported its quarterly results for the period ending June 30, 2025. The company boasted that its revenues significantly increased compared to last year.
The company’s net sales reached 45.5 billion yen, approximately 307.5 million dollars, marking a 53.7% increase. Operating income soared by 91% to 24.5 billion yen (166.2 million dollars).
Capcom explained that outstanding sales of its back catalog games helped achieve these results. For example, Devil May Cry 5 saw high demand during the quarter, thanks in part to the release of the Devil May Cry anime from Netflix. In addition, the announcement of Resident Evil Requiem prompted many players to revisit previous entries in this series.
However, the company described quarterly sales of Monster Hunter Wilds as “weak.” Between April and June, the game was purchased only 477 thousand times.
Overall, Capcom sold 14.16 million game copies during the quarter, a 48.6% increase from the previous year. Digital sales accounted for 95.2% of the total.
Capcom stated that overall, this fiscal year has started successfully, and it now expects to set new records. For the entire year ending March 31, 2026, it hopes to see sales amounting to 190 billion yen (1.28 billion dollars), a 12% increase from the last period.
