The National Doubles Squash Championship 2025 was held in Chennai earlier this year.
Anahat and Abhay won the mixed doubles title together there. Anahat partnered Joshna to bag the women’s doubles gold medal while Abhay and Velavan Senthilkumar were crowned the men’s doubles champions in Chennai.
Earlier this month, Anahat clinched the bronze medal at the World Junior Squash Championships 2025 in New Cairo, Egypt, ending the country’s 15-year wait for an individual medal at the prestigious under-19 event.
The SRFI also announced an expanded India Squash Tour 2025-26 season, which will span across six cities – Jaipur, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and New Delhi. The last two stops are the latest additions to the tour.
The 2025-26 India Squash Tour will feature one PSA Challenger 15K event in Chennai, two PSA Challenger 9K events in Jaipur and Mumbai and three PSA Challenger 6K events in New Delhi, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad.
Each leg will follow a 24-player knockout format, with the top eight seeds receiving a bye into the second round. The tour is open to all PSA-registered players aged 15 and above and will offer ranking points.
Squash is all set to make its Olympic debut at LA 2028.
