Strict crackdown against organised crime will continue in Vehari: DPO

VEHARI   –  Under the directions of DPO Vehari Muhammad Afzal, City Police Station Vehari, led by SHO Chaudhry Waqas Ghumman, has shown remarkable performance by recovering 11 stolen motorcycles worth over Rs1.165 million and arresting a notorious drug dealer, boosting public confidence. 

SHO Waqas Ghumman and his team arrested two key members of the Atiq alias Teeko gang, who stole motorcycles parked outside homes and streets. The recovered bikes were returned to their rightful owners in the presence of local elders.  

The arrests were made possible through tireless efforts and modern technology, under the supervision of DSP Circle Saddar Muhammad Rizwan Khan, who said remaining accomplices will soon be caught.In another action, City Police arrested drug dealer Ghulam Fareed near Graveyard 9/11 WB and recovered 1,310 grams of hashish. A case has been registered and further arrests are expected.

DPO Muhammad Afzal awarded appreciation certificates and cash rewards to SHO Waqas Ghumman and his team for their dedication and vowed that strict action against organised crime will continue to protect citizens’ lives and property.
