Minisforum releases MS-A2 mini-PC in new memory combinations with up to 96 GB RAM

As a result, the MS-A2 no longer starts at $639. Instead, its entry-level pricing has jumped to $871 with a Ryzen 9 9955HX as a barebones unit. Incidentally, the price of that SKU has jumped almost 4% from April when it arrived for $839.

Moreover, with Minisforum not currently selling 1 TB SSD options either directly, the cheapest pre-populated MS-A2 configuration is roughly 8% pricier than it was a few months ago at $1,191 with 64 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage. Incidentally, a Ryzen 9 9955HX, 64 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage can still be purchased from Minisforum on Amazon for $1,135.

Alternatively, the MS-A2 can now be configured with up to 96 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage, which was not possible initially. Doing so pushes the mini-PC’s price up to $1,295, though. Currently, Minisforum hopes to begin shipping new MS-A2 orders on August 10. Please see our review from last month for information about the MS-A2 and how it fares with AMD’s Ryzen 9 9955HX APU.
