Battlefield 6 had its multiplayer reveal even earlier in the week, and during this, EA announced that Battlefield 6 would be launching on October 10 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. However, this release date isn’t too shocking as Battlefield 6 has been one of the most leaked games in recent memory, with nearly everything that the team Battlefield Studios has been planning to showcase being leaked online weeks or days prior. It’s been very odd!
The multiplayer gameplay video showcases everything fans look for in a Battlefield game, including high-intensity combat, extensive destruction, and the strategic use of vehicles and roles to win, such as medics and engineers. It is a very high-octane trailer, and you can check that one out below.
Seeing the return of the class system is a big one and sure to please a lot of fans. Picking your role of Assault, Recon, Support, or Engineer, mastering it and playing to your class was a huge part of the earlier Battlefield games that’s disappeared over recent years.
Conquest, Breakthrough and Rush have all been confirmed to be returning modes, alongside EAM Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Domination and King of the Hill.
New features in Battlefield 6 are a mode called ‘Escalation,‘ where two teams fight to capture a control point, will need some more explanation to get a better understanding of what’s so different to other modes, while the ‘Kinesthetic Combat,‘ which is a mobility update allowing you to drag and review, and more. It seems to be somewhat similar to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 introduction to the ‘Omnimovement’ system.
Battlefield 6 is having two open betas over two weekends: from August 9-11 and then 14-18. It’ll feature several maps and modes, and be available on all platforms.
