Honkai Star Rail The Deliverer Trailer — “Trailblazer” Breakdown

Hoyoverse has dropped the new The Deliverer Trailer — “Trailblazer” in their 3.5 livestream, and it is packed with details. From March 7th’s new form to the appearance of Lord Ravager Irontomb, the trailer held it all. However, not everything was in plain sight, so I have done a complete breakdown of the Honkai Star Rail The Deliverer trailer, so that you don’t miss any details.

1. March 7th Eats Amphoreus

The Deliverer “Trailblazer” trailer begins with a bang with an appearance of March 7th’s new form. This new form is dark and a complete opposite of March 7th’s usual appearance. However, other than March 7th’s gothic appearance, we witness a much more disturbing event. The Dark March 7th appears to be eating the entire Amphoreus at the very beginning of the trailer.

This can have so many connotations, one of them being that the new form of March 7th is evil and this is how she will gain her true Remembrance powers when all of this ends. But, this is only one theory, and I cannot wait to hear more as we get more information and leaks about her.

2. Dan Heng’s New Form

Alongside March 7th, Dan Heng’s new form also makes an appearance in the trailer. Although hard to notice at first, Dan Heng does appear completely different from his Imbibitor Lunae form. His new form uses a golden dragon and leans more towards his human side than the Vidyadhara roots.

How Dan Heng unlocks this new form and whether it will be another 5-star character like Imbibitor Lunae or a selectable path like the Trailblazer and March 7th is yet unknow. Whichever the case, I always enjoy seeing the Astral Express crew getting into action.

3. Elysia’s Appearance / Cyrene’s New Form

The third new character that made an appearance in the trailer is none other than Cyrene, but in a new form. Those who are familiar with the lore of Honkai Impact 3rd would be able to draw similarities between Cyrene’s new form and Elysia. With Phainon revealed to be Khaslana, there is no doubt in my mind that Cyrene’s true name would be Elysia as well. Elysia is clearly going to be the most important character for the final battle of Amphoreus, so expect her to be a 5-star Remembrance character.

4. The Final Boss of Amphoreus

During the trailer, we see multiple villainous beings. The first one we see is an automaton, which is likely Lygus’s true form. Next, we see this massive enemy which can only be Lord Ravager Irontomb. However, at the very end, we see another enemy with two wings that fights against the trailblazer. This enemy is likely going to be the final obstacle for Amphoreus.

Based on his appearance, the enemy does look similar to Phainon’s Khaslana design. My guess would be that Phainon will be absorbed by either Lygus or Irontomb, who will then transform into this new form to fight the Trailblazer.

5. Phainon’s Sacrifice

Building on the last section, we see a brief view of Khaslana slowly burning and then disappearing. There is a look of peace on Phainon’s face, as if he is doing it knowingly and will finally get his long deserved rest. There is a very big chance that Phainon will use all the coreflames to sacrifice himself to create a weakness against Irontomb.

Phainon is the only flame-bearer that kept on living, so it is very much possible that his sacrifice is needed to end the cycle. This might be the moment where Phainon also gets absorbed into Irontomb or Lygus.
