The year 2025 marks the 10-year anniversary since Springer Nature was established in 2015 through the merger of Macmillan Science and Education, the London-based publisher of Nature and Scientific American, and Berlin-based Springer Science+Business Media. Over the past few months, we’ve been celebrating Springer Nature’s 10-year anniversary with a series of exciting events across our offices. Over 50 locations hosted celebration events full of colour, creativity and connection to celebrate a decade of being part of progress as Springer Nature.
In our Japan office, we celebrated this anniversary by holding an event where our colleagues shared some reflections and photos on the 10 years since the merger. We also held a senryu poem competition related to life at the company and a quiz competition themed around Springer Nature and the number 10. At the beginning of the event, Antoine Bocquet, Managing Director of Springer Nature Japan, gave the following opening remarks:
“Springer Nature has been established for 10 years. Looking back on the past 10 years, there were many technologies and events that did not exist at the time, and the world has changed significantly. However, during that time, Springer Nature has continued to provide a stable environment for the research community and to our colleagues, and has maintained a wonderful culture of cooperation among our colleagues. We look forward to continuing to grow together, striving to provide the best services to the entire research community.”
The following Springboard blog by our CEO, Frank Vrancken Peeters outlines how we celebrate 10 years of Springer Nature.
