After a late start to her Lake Como vacation, Amal Clooney is kicking off her la dolce vita summer with great haste.
At long last, the barrister and her husband, George Clooney, arrived in Lake Como after George’s Broadway run in Good Night, and Good Luck. Amal wasted no time in dressing for a glamorous Euro summer, diving headfirst into disco-friendly fashions. First, she arrived on the docks dressed in a silver sequined one-shoulder Badgley Mischka dress with a wraparound silver fringe, and later a white off-the-shoulder number with tiers of fringe.
But now, Amal is bidding adieu to her Studio 54 style in favor of something just as bold. Earlier this week, she and George arrived arm in arm to dinner at Villa Passalacqua in dazzling tassled whites. They Clooneys welcomed guests to their Lake Como residence, Villa Oleandra, where Amal traded her fringed looks for a magenta, bias cut gown with a draped neckline. While the dress stands out for its striking color, it was augmented with other show-stopping details—namely, its thigh-high slit punctuated with a rosette appliqué.
