In the 90-minute film — which includes exclusive host broadcaster footage that was never aired before — Kipyegon opens up about the stress she felt in Paris, especially after the roller coaster of emotions following the dramatic 5000m final.
She was disqualified, then later reinstated and awarded the silver behind compatriot Beatrice Chebet.
“That traumatic 5000m final, it really took a lot in my mind, and I couldn’t sleep…” Kipyegon recalled.
The now 31-year-old athlete remarkably powered through the vibrant purple track with renewed focus — not just winning the 1500m, as she often does, but delivering a commanding performance that captured the world’s attention.
“To have won three medals… It was by God’s grace, I don’t know how I did it,” Kipyegon said of her 3:51.29 finish — an Olympic record.
“What motivates me is the young generation. I want to show them the way. I want, when I get older, to hear the next generation talking about Faith, saying, ‘I want to be like Faith. I want to be super good like Faith.’”
