Burnbrae Farms announced it will break ground on a new egg grading facility in Strathroy, Ontario’s Molnar Industrial Park.
The new facility will be more than 150,000 square feet and feature automated case packing, palletizing and depalletizing systems and a fully integrated automated storage and retrieval system. Additionally, it will include solar energy, heat recovery systems and electric shore power for refrigerated trailers.
The facility is expected to be operational late in 2026.
Burnbrae Farms Executive Vice President, Foodservice/Industrial Sales & Government Relations Ian McFall stated, “Working closely with the town to secure land in their industrial park, we’re excited to grow in a way that reflects our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the Hudson family values, which are core to our culture.”
“Investing in cutting-edge technologies and sustainable building practices helps us meet the growing demand for specialty eggs, while advancing our leadership in Canadian egg production, grading, and processing,” added Burnbrae Farms Vice President, Operations Trevor Chang.
Burnbrae’s new sponsorship
In July 2025, Burnbrae Farms announced a sponsorship deal with professional golfer Hunter Thomson.
Under the agreement, Burnbrae Farms committed to providing ongoing financial support to Thomson as he begins his career on the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) Tour in the Americas. Additionally, Thomson agreed to have the producer’s logo featured on his right sleeve in his upcoming golf tournaments.
At the time of the announcement, Thomson said, “Eggs are a key part of my daily nutrition and agriculture has always been such a big part of my family.”
