Agreement with Napoli for the transfer of Giacomo Raspadori

The Italian striker, a two-time Serie A champion and EURO 2020 winner, has passed his medical and signed his contract with our club.

Giacomo Raspadori is a new Atlético de Madrid player after our club and Napoli reached an agreement for his transfer. The striker passed his medical examination at the Vithas – Invictum High-Performance Sports Medicine Centre at the Madrid Arturo Soria University Hospital in Madrid. He then headed to the club’s offices at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, where he signed his five-year contract with our club.

The Italian player (Bentivoglio, Feb. 18, 2000) is a versatile footballer who can play in all attacking positions and behind the strikers. He began his career at the Sassuolo Academy in 2009. His debut with the first team came 10 years later, on May 26, 2019, in a match against Atalanta. Raspadori played 82 matches with Sassuolo, scoring 18 goals and providing nine assists. In the summer of 2022, he signed for Napoli, with whom he won Serie A in his first season and again in the 2024/25 campaign. He has played 109 matches for the Neapolitan side, producing 18 goals and 10 assists.

The striker is an Italy international. He made his senior debut at the age of 21 on June 4, 2021 in a EURO 2020 warm-up match. He was called up for the competition, in which he played one game and was crowned champion. To date, he has played 40 matches, netting nine goals and providing six assists.
