Matt Milton takes over as President of Microsoft Canada

Today, Microsoft announced a leadership change reflecting the continued commitment to helping Canadian customers and partners make the most of the platform shift to AI. This strategic change will see Matt Milton take on the role of President of Microsoft Canada.    

Matt brings a wealth of experience and a distinguished track record in the technology sector to this role. Having previously served in several senior leadership roles at Kyndryl and IBM, he has spent over 20 years leading multi-billion-dollar global businesses and helping some of the world’s most iconic organizations create differentiated value through technology. His deep understanding of North American market dynamics, particularly in navigating economic shifts, regulatory environments, and customer transformation, coupled with his commitment to innovation and AI, uniquely positions him to accelerate the technology ecosystem in Canada.   

As the new President of Microsoft Canada, and a proud Canadian, Matt not only brings deep expertise but a clear passion for Canada, its people, its potential, and its future. Matt will be focused on helping accelerate Canada’s leadership in the digital economy and ensuring Microsoft continues to lead as a trusted partner to Canadian organizations and communities from coast-to-coast. This includes advancing the adoption of responsible AI, helping Canadian businesses transition to becoming frontier firms, expanding access to digital skills, and supporting Canadian innovation that drives economic growth and societal impact.
