MADRID (Spain) – FIBA EuroBasket title holders Spain have finalized their 12-player roster ahead of the start of the 2025 edition.
The official announcement came shortly after Sergio Scariolo’s side fell to an agonizing 106-105 loss in overtime against World Cup champions Germany.

The Spanish national team have endured a tough 1-5 run in preparation games, beating only Czechia on the road to FIBA EuroBasket 2025.
On August 23, they will have their last friendly appointment before the tournament, once again against Germany.

Santi Aldama has become the leader of the team since making his major tournament debut at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023. The Memphis Grizzlies forward was the TISSOT MVP at the FIBA OQT Spain 2024 to lead his nation to another Olympics campaign, while Willy Hernangomez is back as the reigning FIBA EuroBasket MVP.
La Roja will play the Group Phase in Limassol, alongside Greece, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, and co-hosts Cyprus in Group C.
They will begin their campaign as reigning EuroBasket champions against Georgia on August 28 at 14:00 CET.
