In his book Charles III, Robert Hardman claims that royal staff have suggested that Prince Harry has developed a pattern of making public appearances while King Charles is overseas on state business.

‘Royal staff had noticed something else, too. It was starting to feel a little more than confidential that when the King was on important business overseas, the Duke of Sussex would suddenly emerge from his hard-won privacy to make a high-profile public appearances,’ he wrote.

Later, while the King travelled to Canada, his estranged son was in Shanghai attending a conference on sustainable tourism.

‘Only a cynic could possibly detect a pattern there,’ one courtier told the author.

This comes as reports suggested that the representatives from both sides were pictured at a private sit-down, seemingly a peace talk, back in July.

Harry also paid a touching tribute to his late grandfather Prince Philip, in a letter secretly placed at the National Memorial during an event attended by the King.

Even Public relations specialist Eric Schiffer believes reconciliation will eventually take place.
