31 Xiaomi Phones Will Stop at Android 15 with HyperOS 3

Xiaomi has confirmed its Android 16 update roadmap, and not every device will make the jump. In fact, 31 models across the POCO, Redmi, and Xiaomi lines will stop at Android 15. Their final major upgrade will be HyperOS 3, which is set to roll out in September.

This move isn’t unusual in the Android space. Most manufacturers support devices for two to three years, sometimes longer for flagships. Xiaomi is now drawing the line for a big batch of devices, including some recent mid-range phones and even a few premium models.

POCO Devices Reaching the End

Several POCO handsets will close out their update life with HyperOS 3. The list includes the POCO C65, F5 5G, F5 Pro, M6 Pro, and the X6 Neo. For owners, that means Android 15 is the last stop.

Redmi Phones Capped at HyperOS 3

The Redmi family sees an even larger cut. Entry-level devices like the Redmi 12, 12 5G, 13C series, and 13R won’t advance beyond this update.

What HyperOS 3 Brings

While Android 16 won’t arrive on these devices, HyperOS 3 will still deliver new features. Xiaomi has teased a refreshed interface inspired by “liquid glass,” plus more customization options in the control center. The update is scheduled to begin rolling out in September.

For users holding affected models, this update marks the last major system upgrade. Security patches may continue for a while, but those wanting Android 16 will need to look at newer Xiaomi hardware.
