‘Pakistan Idol’ auditions ignite musical passion

Pakistan Idol, is back, and the excitement is palpable as auditions sweep across the nation. From Multan to Lahore, aspiring singers have taken centre stage, bringing their voices — and their dreams — to the spotlight, the show broadcaster said on Sunday.

The auditions kicked off in Multan at the Arts Council, drawing an impressive crowd of young men and women, students, and passionate music lovers from South Punjab and surrounding districts.

Participants didn’t just perform popular songs — they enchanted the audience with Punjabi and Seraiki numbers, turning the venue into a lively celebration of rhythm and melody, Geo TV reported.

Following the success in Multan, the Pakistan Idol caravan arrived in Lahore, trans-forming the Alhamra Cultural Complex into a hub of musical talent and enthusiasm. Participants from Lahore’s Walled City and neighbouring areas flocked to the auditions, eager to showcase their skills.

The atmosphere was electric, with joy and anticipation visible on the faces of every hopeful singer. Some contestants came with a lifelong passion for music, while oth-ers had undergone formal training in rhythm and melody.

The organisers described Lahore’s turnout as “the most outstanding,” praising the exceptional talent that left judges and audiences alike amazed. The auditions, which began promptly at 9 am, are part of Pakistan Idol’s larger mission: to transform dreams into reality and introduce magical voices to audiences across the globe.

The 2025 season, presented by MHL and aired on Geo TV, has seen a wave of enthu-siasm across the country. Digital auditions have surged following the announcement of the competition, reflecting the boundless passion of Pakistan’s youth for music and performance.

Organisers emphasise that no talented voice will be left behind, encouraging as-piring singers to step forward and seize the opportunity to shine on a national—and potentially international—stage.
