Pokémon Go Sunkissed Shores Timed Research quest steps, tasks and rewards

The Sunkissed Shores event lets Pokémon Go visit the beach for one last time before summer departs. In a fitting manner, it also marks the release of Dondozo!

While you’re hunting down the Big Catfish Pokémon, make sure you complete the Sunkissed Shores Timed Research quest and complete the Sunkissed Shores research tasks. (All XP is good XP!)

‘Sunkissed Shores Timed Research’ quest steps and rewards

The Sunkissed Shores Timed Research quest is running until Sunday 31st August at 8pm (local time) as part of the Sunkissed Shores event in Pokémon Go. If you want to earn all of the rewards from this event, then you need to complete it before this deadline passes or else you won’t be getting anything.

So let’s take a look at all of the Sunkissed Shores Timed Research quest steps and rewards down below. Just be wary of spoilers!

‘Sunkissed Shores Timed Research’ Step 1 of 1

  • Take a snapshot of your buddy – Sunkern encounter
  • Catch 10 Pokémon – Clauncher encounter
  • Catch 20 Pokémon – Cherubi encounter
  • Catch 30 Pokémon – Shellder encounter
  • Catch 40 Pokémon – Crabrawler encounter
  • Catch 50 Pokémon – Bellossom encounter
  • Win a raid – Clamperl encounter

Rewards: 10,000 XP, 7,000 Stardust and Alolan Exeggutor encounter.

Sunkissed Shores field research tasks

Here are the Sunkissed Shores field research tasks in Pokémon Go:

  • Catch 10 Pokémon reward – Sunkern, Cherubi, Bounsweet or Gossifleur encounter
  • Catch 10 Water-type Pokémon reward – Krabby, Corphish or Clauncher encounter
  • Win three one-star raids reward – Dondozo encounter
  • Explore 1km reward – Galarian Slowpoke or Visor Slakoth encounter

August in Pokémon Go is coming to a close with the Sunkissed Shores event and the release of Dondozo!

You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, however, you need to visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest.

Don’t forget to try out Routes, Gift Exchange and Party Play while you’re hunting down rare Pokémon, fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases.

Sunkissed Shores pay-to-play quests

There are two pay-to-play quests available during the Sunkissed Shores event.

There’s the details for the first pay-to-play quest:

  • $1.99 or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency.
  • Non-refundable and can not be purchased using PokéCoins.
  • Can gift to players you’re Great Friends or higher with.
  • Must be completed, with rewards claimed, before 8pm (local time) on Sunday 31st August.
  • Rewards include the Pinap Berry Bag item for your avatar, 4,000 XP and 3,000 Stardust.

The second pay-to-play quest involves:

  • $1.99 or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency.
  • Non-refundable and can not be purchased using PokéCoins.
  • Can gift to players you’re Great Friends or higher with.
  • Must be completed, with rewards claimed, before 8pm (local time) on Sunday 31st August.
  • Rewards include 3,000 Stardust, two Premium Battle Passes, Dondozo encounter and Visor Slakoth.
