Julia Fox is sharing unfiltered thoughts about her acting skills, regardless of her time in the industry.

During an exclusive conversation with Interview Magazine, Fox opened up to her co-star Vanessa Kirby about choosing acting as her profession and having had absolutely no idea how hard it would turn out to be.

She told the outlet, “So it’s really hard to turn on and off, especially if you’ve been in your trailer for four or five hours. It’s definitely physically taxing, mentally taxing. It takes over your life.”

The Presence actress went on to add, “If you’re working on a movie, you can’t really do anything else. It just takes over you—at least, that’s my experience.”

As she shared her perspective, Vanessa reflected on a challenging scene from her latest film, Night Always Comes, which was previously released on Netflix.

Recreating the moment in her mind, she continued, “Yeah, but do you remember during our scene, they were resetting the camera or turning around or whatever, and we just lay on [Julia’s character] Gloria’s bed next to each other? We were lying in a pile of her clothes, just staring at each other. And it was 5:00 AM—we were barely holding on by a thread, obviously. It was our first night shoot, so you just feel deranged.”

On the professional front, Fox portrayed the role of Gloria in the film, while Vanessa played the role of Lynette.
