Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward streak on Wednesday.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola rose by Rs. 1,000 to settle at Rs. 361,700, building on Tuesday’s sharp increase of Rs. 900. The 10-gram gold rate also climbed by Rs. 857 to reach Rs. 310,099.
In the global market, gold extended its bullish momentum, trading at $3,390 per ounce (with a $20 premium), up by $10 compared to the previous session.
Jewellers noted that the local market has closely tracked the international trend this week, with back-to-back increases pushing gold to fresh highs.
Meanwhile, silver prices bucked the trend, declining by Rs. 53 to settle at Rs. 4,068 per tola.
