If you’re keeping your eyes peeled for World Cup 2026 tickets, you’re right to be at the edge of your seat. FIFA just announced ticket timelines, details, and initial prices for the tournament – including announcing the controversial introduction of World Cup dynamic pricing.

With this new announcement, fans can expect tickets to rise as high as almost $7,000 for the most expensive seats – a stark contrast to the Qatar World Cup, which saw Category 1 final tickets at $1,605. The official FIFA ticketing website will be the primary place to buy tickets. Fans will need to create a FIFA account, register their interest, and apply during the lottery phase. Successful applicants will be notified via email and then given a window to purchase tickets.

In addition to individual match tickets, FIFA is offering team-specific ticket packages and venue packages through hospitality, which allow fans to follow their favorite nation or attend multiple matches in one city.

If you miss out during the first rounds of sales, don’t worry, there are official and secondary resale platforms that will also give fans another chance to purchase tickets later on.

Resale tickets often appear closer to matchdays, and while availability can be limited, it’s a safe and authorized way to secure seats if you couldn’t buy them initially.

Can you get World Cup 2026 resale tickets?

FIFA will operate an official resale platform where fans who can no longer attend can list their tickets at face value or within FIFA’s set limits.

Third-party resellers will also have available tickets, typically with prices widely ranging, especially for bigger matches.

One key point for resale buyers: availability can be very limited, and tickets may appear sporadically, often closer to matchdays. Fans hoping to secure resale tickets should check the platform frequently, act quickly when tickets appear, and have payment details ready in advance.
