ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – President Asif Ali Zardari has awarded the Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) to the Commander of the UAE Navy, Major General Humaid Abdulla Alremeithi.
The award ceremony took place at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad, where President Zardari also exchanged views with the UAE Commander and hailed strong bilateral relations between the two states.
The President stated that the award recognizes Commander Alremeithi distinguished services, highlighting the brotherly ties between Pakistan and the UAE.
He praised the UAE Navy’s participation in the Aman Dialogue 25 and Aman Exercise 25, adding that the Pakistan Navy is ready to meet the UAE Navy’s manpower needs in the future.
The UAE Naval commander shared that he graduated from the Pakistan Naval Academy in Karachi.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, former National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, and former Senate chairman Nayyar Bukhari were also present at the event.
