Pakistan fast bowler Usman Shinwari has announced his retirement from international cricket. Usman played 17 ODIs and 16 T20Is for Pakistan, accounting for 34 and 13 wickets respectively. Pakistan Set Sights on Asia Cup

Meanwhile, the Pakistan team will be optimistic about doing well at the Asia Cup. The team recently played a tri-series with the UAE and Afghanistan in the UAE and emerged victorious. The team has shown remarkable improvement after going into the transition under the leadership of Salman Ali Agha. Despite missing big names like Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, the team has been able to do well. Before the T20I series, Pakistan also beat the West Indies in the T20I series.

Pakistan will start its Asia Cup campaign against Oman on September 12 before playing India on September 14. Their final league game will be against the UAE on September 17. Pakistan could face India multiple times in the event as it will be a test of the team’s temperament against a daunting Indian team.
