Chinese battery giant Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Ltd. expects to resume output at its Jianxiawo lithium mine sooner than previously anticipated and is actively preparing for the restart, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter.
The company’s executives told employees in a meeting early Tuesday to get ready for operations to resume at the site in Jiangxi province and to recall frontline workers who had been reassigned after the production halt, the person said, asking not to be identified discussing private information.
