Dua Lipa is honoring hometown artists on her “Radical Optimism” tour by performing covers of their biggest hits at each stop.
In Boston, she paid tribute to Aerosmith with “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” during the first of two shows at TD Garden.
The tradition began in Australia and New Zealand, where she covered songs by AC/DC, Lorde, and Kylie Minogue, also bringing out Troye Sivan, Tame Impala, and Neil Finn.
In Europe, she covered Enrique Iglesias’ “Hero” in Madrid, Jamiroquai’s “Virtual Insanity” in London, and performed “Valerie” with Dave McCabe in Liverpool.
The U.S. leg runs through October with major stops in New York and Los Angeles before moving to South America in November.
