Baker McKenzie Advises UBS on the Financing of Galenica’s Acquisition of the Labor Team Group | Newsroom

Baker McKenzie acted for UBS Switzerland AG in connection with the financing of Galenica Ltd.’s acquisition of Diagnostics Group GmbH and its subsidiaries (also known as Labor Team Group).

With approximately 8,000 employees, Galenica is a fully integrated healthcare service provider in Switzerland. It operates a network of pharmacies, and develops and offers own brands and products, exclusive brands and products from business partners, and a variety of on-site health services and tests for customers. Labor Team offers a comprehensive range of services from laboratory medicine and pathology to personalized special diagnostics. The strategic acquisition will enable Galenica to further expand its offerings in the physicians segment.

Baker McKenzie advised UBS on all legal and tax aspects of the transaction. The team was led by Markus Wolf (banking and finance, Zurich) and included Sammy Guidoum (banking and finance, Zurich), Andrea Bolliger (tax, Zurich) and Valentina Biland (banking and finance, Zurich).
