Nina Dobrev is fanning the flames of split rumors after several outlets reported she and longtime partner and Olympic snowboarder Shaun White had parted ways.
The actress most famous for her role in “The Vampire Diaries,” hopped on TikTok Saturday, Sept. 6, days before news of the alleged split was reported, to duet a viral sound about “fixing” a man.
“What’s your advice for women trying to fix their man?” the TikTok audio says, to which Dobrev, lip-syncing to the sound, says: “Listen, Bob the Builder, he’s got 10 other women trying to fix him, too, and you all look like a damn construction crew.”
The post, which has amassed nearly 2.5 million likes, is captioned with a construction worker, truck and hammer emoji.
The Associated Press confirmed the break-up in an article on Sept. 12. People was the first to report the news. USA TODAY has reached out to reps for White and Dobrev for comment.
Dobrev, 36, and White, 39, first began dating in 2019 and got engaged in 2024. In an interview with Vogue at the time, Dobrev revealed that White had sprung the proposal on her by creating a fake invite to an industry event.
White’s publicist sent Dobrev a fake invite to a CFDA/Vogue dinner with the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, at the Golden Swan, an American restaurant in New York City. Dobrev told the outlet that White “made the invite look so legitimate.” However, upon her arrival, White and a photographer were the only guests in attendance.
White got down on one knee with a 5-carat diamond ring under a display of white roses. Their split marks the end of five years together.
