Simkhai’s Beach Happy for Spring 2026

Life’s a beach, but an elevated one through the lens of an urban Los Angeles at Simkhai. An L.A.-based brand, the coastal cool lifestyle speaks to him intimately.

“Fashion is meant to be mood lifting, creating happiness and joy,” Jonathan Simkhai said at a preview.

Several ideas were straightforward with the theme.  A lace dress that could be a coverup, nylon board shorts, and crochet embellished knits over a knit bandeau top hit the light of the sun shining down on his runway.

Several ideas were a reference to a skate and surf collection he did in 2013 as a young brand, here remixed in elevated fabrications celebrating his growing business. “We were two years old [then]. We had very limited resources,” he said. But he persevered and through the struggles his brand has blossomed.

The lineup then moved into a tougher portion with a range of leather, a navy blazer and pant with a hint of sun-kissed distress, and classic city staples such as a luxe satin white bomber jacket and sun-bleached slashed denim with see-through knit tank tops and mother of pearl shell minidresses, to dazzle at a late-night beach bonfire.

Accessories met the getaway vibes, with flip flops a standard at any beach and somehow a fashion trend lately, and net bags and shell details to carry all the summer essentials.

“I always feel like happy at the beach and being by the water and being with family and friends,” he said.

Who doesn’t want a bit of sartorial happiness? Simkhai has it covered.
