WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H and Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority Chairman Turki Alalshikh have just made a major announcement. The 43rd edition of WrestleMania is set to be held in Saudi Arabia in 2027. Triple H spoke to the media, sharing, “We are proud to announce that in 2027, WrestleMania 43 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.”
The move came after the company had announced earlier that the Middle Eastern country would host next year’s Royal Rumble. Fans have a lot to look forward to at this grand event, as it will also coincide with the celebrations of the Kingdom’s 300th anniversary celebration.
Alalshikh, who also serves in the rank of a minister and adviser at the Royal Court, earlier shared a hint about a major WWE event taking place in the country in 2027 (via X). The Saudi billionaire aspires to reshape the world of combat sports. According to Marca, Alalshikh’s net worth is reported to be $2.8 billion.

His focus is currently on the entertainment industry in Saudi Arabia, which is predicted to be a major contributor to the country’s economy in the coming years. Alalshikh is behind Riyadh Season, a month-long event that attracts the best in music and sports. The event is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aimed at reducing the country’s dependence on oil.
Besides his sports interests, he is a major player in the Saudi real estate business. He reportedly has major stakes in the construction business in Saudi Arabia. It was also reported that he owns properties around the world, including in Beverly Hills.
Turki Alalshikh Owns a Boxing Promotion with UFC CEO Dana White
Dana White is all set to enter the boxing industry with Zuffa Boxing. The boxing promotion brand is being set up under UFC’s parent company TKO Group Holdings. Joining them in the venture would be Turki Alalshikh. This boxing promotion will kick off with the super middleweight fight between Canelo Álvarez and Terence Crawford.
The match is set to be held today, September 13, 2025, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Netflix will stream the match globally in partnership with the Saudi entertainment company Sela. This company is also backed by Alalshikh. White and Alalshikh announced the boxing promotion back in March 2025.
It was reported that Alalshikh signed a multi-year partnership with TKO (via Bleacher Report). White and WWE President Nick Khan will head Zuffa Boxing. Alalshikh’s expertise in promoting boxing came as an added bonus. He previously put together several matches, including the one between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou.
He told ESPN that he intended to fix the “broken” sport of boxing. Canelo was signed to the promotion with the help of Alalshikh, who convinced him to a four-fight deal when he appeared at the Riyadh Season.
According to Deadline, Alalshikh and White are also collaborating with Zack Snyder to produce the UFC-based drama, Brawler. The logline of the project read, “Rising from the rough streets of Los Angeles, a young fighter gets a shot at a UFC championship, battling his inner demons as he fights for redemption.”
Turki Alalshikh’s Commitments to Other Sports Activities
Turki Alalshikh’s contributions to sports played a major role in bringing Saudi Arabia to the forefront of sports. He is the Chairman of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF). Besides boxing and wrestling, Alalshikh also showed interest in English football.
He was the owner of the Egyptian football club, Pyramids, from 2018 to 2019. In 2019, he became the owner of the Spanish football club Almería, replacing Alfonso García Gabarrón. However, in May 2025, he announced that he had sold the club to a group of investors led by SMC Group from Saudi Arabia (via Tribuna).
Alalshikh also became the owner of the reputed boxing magazine, The Ring, in 2024. He bought the magazine from Oscar De La Hoya for a sum of $10 million. Alalshikh also played a major role in lifting the 35-year-old ban on cinemas in the country.
