More than 50 venues have been involved in a special event aiming to celebrate a city’s “vibrant cultural heritage”.
Music in the City takes place in Southampton, Hampshire, and culminated in a multi-venue festival over the weekend.
Locations included Arundel Gardens, Canute’s Palace, Southampton Castle’s outer bailey wall, God’s House Tower, Holyrood Church, the John Hansard Gallery, King John’s Palace, the Medieval Merchant’s House, St Michael’s Square, HMV, John Lewis and the 650-year-old city vaults.
Organisers said 360 acts were taking part, covering 42 musical genres during the event.
