Bayern Munich’s busiest staffer is busy preparing for the team’s three incoming ‘transfers’…and no, he is not board member for sport Max Eberl. Nor is he sporting director Christoph Freund!
Rather, it is head of rehab Benjamin Sommer, who is in charge of taking care of Bayern’s army of walking wounded: attacker Jamal Musiala and defenders Alphonso Davies and Hiroki Itō. Sommer was captured a few days ago working with the trio, via @iMiaSanMia:
Bayern’s new head of the rehab department Benjamin Sommer, who joined the club from Frankfurt this summer, worked with Hiroki Itō and Alphonso Davies at Säbener Straße today. Both completed exercises with the ball and ran a few laps. Sommer is also taking care of Jamal Musiala’s rehab in the performance center. The target for all three players is a comeback in November [@BILD]
That is a busier than usual load than step into…and given the players, one high in stakes. Bayern’s fixture list will start to run hot and heavy soon and they will need to hold out on the injury front for the cavalry to ride in.
