Italy closes the tournament with five wins out of five matches
The tournament, held in Astana (Kazakhstan) and organised by the Kazakhstan Para Hockey Federation, featured six teams – Italy, Japan, Sweden, Finland, France, and Kazakhstan – competing in a single round-robin group. Italy finished the tournament with five victories in five games, including the decisive final against Japan, showcasing outstanding technical preparation and an extraordinary team spirit.
And now, Norway
With this success, Italy also secures a place in the Paralympic Qualification Tournament, scheduled at the end of the year in Jessheim, Norway, which will allocate the final spots for the Paralympic Winter Games. Although already qualified as host country, this achievement on the ice once again confirms the high level of competitiveness and preparation reached by the National Team.
Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 proudly celebrates this result, which represents an important source of satisfaction and a positive signal on the road to the home Paralympic Games.
