The World Athletics Championships 2025 javelin throw final entry list features a stacked field.

Barring Neeraj and Arshad, the list includes Diamond League champion Julian Weber, two-time world champion Anderson Peters, 2012 Olympic gold medallist Keshorn Walcott and Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Jakub Vadlejch, amongst others.

Neeraj Chopra, the current world No. 2, reigning Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem, India’s Sachin Yadav and Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Tharanga are the four Asians in the final.

Arshad Nadeem qualified for the final with an 85.28 effort, while Neeraj Chopra’s first throw of 84.85 saw him make the cut. Neeraj broke the elusive 90m barrier earlier this season with a 90.23m Indian national record in Doha.
